Rodé’s Mini Dig was founded by John and Caroline Rode in July 1993. In 1999 due to business growth, the partnership developed into the company known today as Rode’s Excavations Pty Ltd.
Central Queensland’s growth, experience in industry, client requirements and professional reputation has necessitated Rode’s Excavation Pty Ltd to specialise in logistics/earthmoving and detailed civil construction excavation.
With the construction of the LNG projects in 2011, Rode’s Excavations Pty Ltd focused primarily on logistics. Rode’s Excavations entered into a contract to cart quarry product from mainland Gladstone to Curtis Island by barge on a 24 hours a day, 6-7 days a week. As the main contractor in this project, Rode’s Excavations coordinated 16 sub-contractors as well as their own employees, totalling 93 staff.
